There is a lens behind the pupil of our eye. This lens focuses the light falling on the pupil and forms a clear image of the object on the retina. The lens inside the eye acts like a camera. The lens is made up of water and protein. This image from the retina reaches the nerves and from there to the brain. This lens at the back of the eye is completely clear, so that light can easily pass through it.

Causes Of Cataract

With ageing, sometimes some protein tends to collect in one place and get deposited on one part of the lens. Due to which the path of light passing through it gets blocked. The result of this is that the object which is clearly visible to the human being when full light is passed, now due to less light passing, the same object starts appearing blurry. This clouding of the lens is called cataract. This clouding gradually increases and the patient’s vision becomes more blurred than before.

Apart from this, there are also causes of cataract

  • Having any kind of other disease in the eyes, such as glaucoma etc.
  • Congenital cataract in the eye.
  • Wound or injury of any kind on the eye.
  • Having diabetes

Types Of Cataract

The condition around the eyes is also different in all types of cataract. In blood cataract everything appears red, green, black, yellow and white. In perylamin cataract, yellowish-yellow color appears on all sides. It is as if the trees and plants are on fire. Everything seems to be surrounded by flame. It is also called ‘glaucoma of fainted bile’. In glaucoma, the pupil of the eye becomes red, flaky and hard. In biliary glaucoma, the pupil of the eye is yellowish like bronze.

In Kaphaja Cataract, the pupil of the eye is white and smooth or with white pegs like a conch and is fickle. In the cataract of typhus, the pupil of the eye is similar to that of coral or padma leaf and has mixed symptoms of all the above. In parylamin, the pupil of the eye is like a dark colored glass, yellowish and red, dirty, dry and bluish.

1). Lemon – Mix lemon juice with a spoonful of water. Then soak the cotton ball in it. Now place a cotton ball over the closed eyelids and leave it for about 20 minutes. Now remove the cotton and wash your eyes with plain water. Do this once a day. It also has antioxidant properties, which can help reduce cataracts.

2). Green Tea – Mix one teaspoon of green tea in a cup of water and boil it. You can drink it lukewarm twice daily. Green tea contains an element called EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate), which may help protect the lens from damage and reduce cataracts.

3). Carrot juice – Consume 1 glass of carrot juice daily. Carrot juice can also protect against the risk of cataracts. It is a good source of two types of dietary carotenoids, lutein and zeaxanthin. These carotenoids are also found in the lens of the human eye. Along with this, the antioxidants present in them can also reduce the effects of cataracts caused by it by reducing oxidative damage.

4). Almonds for Cataracts Treatment – ​​Every day, put 5-6 almonds in a bowl of water and keep it overnight. On the second day, take off the peels of soaked almonds and consume them. Almonds contain a vitamin called coenzyme Q10. Which may help protect against lens epithelial cell apoptosis that causes cataracts.

5). Apple Cider Vinegar – Mix one teaspoon of honey and apple cider vinegar in a glass of warm water. Consume it when mixed well. Drink a glass of it daily. Home Remedies To Treat Cataract

# Soak half a handful of wheat and half a handful of gram, in double the water overnight. Take them out in the morning and tie them in a wet cotton cloth. On the second day, sprouts will come in them. Eat these sprouted wheat-gram in refreshment according to your appetite and digestive power. The cataract will be cured and the eyesight will increase.

# Take 10 grams each of small peepal, Lahori salt, sea fen and black pepper. Dilute it with 200 grams of black antimony in 500 ml rose extract or fennel extract in such a way that all the extract is absorbed in it. Now apply it daily in the eyes.

# Grind and squeeze the onion to extract its juice. Mix honey in double the quantity and apply it in the eyes regularly. If it feels more in the eyes, then mix the same amount of rose water. It does not cause cataract.

# Putting two drops of pure honey in the eyes in the morning and evening is beneficial in cataract.

# Grind 10 grams giloy juice, 1 gram honey, 1 gram rock salt and keep them all in a fine paste. Using it daily in the eyes like Anjan, cataract is removed.

# Soak six kernels of almonds in water overnight. Grind them in the morning and eat them with half teaspoon black pepper and one teaspoon honey, it cures cataract.

# Grind one tablespoon dry coriander, equal amount of hand and one small spoon of Khand (desi sugar) and grind it. Taking this dose with pure water at both the times does not cause cataract.

# Peel 4 cloves of garlic and soak it in water overnight. Eating these buds before drinking in the morning and drinking that water from above cures cataract.

# Take 3 grams of coarse pearl powder and 12 grams of black antimony and thrash it a lot. When suffocated well, keep it in a clean vial and apply it in the eyes like Anjan while sleeping. This definitely removes the cataract.
